MyIDCare Review
Data breaches have become a regular occurrence. While it is challenging to keep them all straight, the net result has been more than four billion compromised files in the first half of 2019 alone.
Those breaches include information on personal identity, social media, social security numbers, and passwords, and people are taking notice.
There are many simple ways to improve your identity protection. Common solutions include using a password manager, not posting your mother’s maiden name online, and never giving out your social security number.
If you want additional peace of mind, though, you can opt for comprehensive coverage from a reputable identity reporting company.

Security
When it comes to protecting personal information on multiple fronts, Identity Protect has you covered. The company takes active and defensive measures to ensure you get the protection you need at a price that fits your budget. While no plan can guarantee security all the time, Identity Protect delivers when it comes to protecting customers against unwanted risk.
Pros
Social Media Protection
The proliferation of social media’s popularity and integration into popular culture is difficult to overstate. Whether you have Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, TikTok, or a combination of platforms, these sites contain sensitive information. It is why social media coverage is one of the essential features of any robust identity protection plan.
Customers interested in social media protection have to sign up for the Ultimate plan. From a business standpoint, this strategy makes sense as this coverage is typically the carrot companies dangle to get people to sign up for the most expensive plan. The Ultimate plan does have a bevy of other benefits that make it worth consideration, though.
Affordable Plans
Identity Protect’s prices are on par with its competitors. Prices for their plans start at $12.95 per month, and it comes with a considerable range of features.
Military-Grade Encryption
If the encryption that Identity Protect uses is good enough for the military, it is certainly good enough for you, too. The company uses an AES-256 military-grade encryption algorithm that protects passwords for all your accounts simultaneously. In addition to the armed forces, governments and intelligence agencies also use the algorithm to protect their most sensitive information.
Up to One Million Dollar Insurance Coverage
Identity Protect offers customers $1 million when it comes to compensating for fraud. The figure goes towards several different types of financial loss, such as legal fees, lost wages, bank account losses, and more. Plus, there is no deductible for the policy.
Cons
Young Company
Identity Protect got its start six years ago in Las Vegas, Nevada. While youthfulness isn’t necessarily a con, there are plenty of other companies in the industry with significantly more experience. If you want a robust track record of identity protection and the experience to back it up, then Identity Protect may not be for you.
No Antivirus Software
Antivirus software protects computers from external threats. While no product is perfect, it can mitigate damage from worms, bots, rootkits, spyware, Trojan horses, and more. Despite being an identity protection service, Identity Protect does not have any antivirus software products to preserve your computer.
Lack of Information Online
There is relatively little information about Identity Protect online. For instance, there is no “About Us” section on their website, a few reviews of their products, and a social media presence that is effectively zero. While this transparency is not a red flag, it may be enough to raise an eyebrow.
